As the images from the news sources continue to pour in and capture the horrific aftermath of this terrible tragedy, I have chosen to do all that I can to make a difference for all of the people affected. I write to you with the hopes that you will rise to this call of action.

On Thursday we will hold a fundraiser with the hopes to unite the international development community in Washington D.C. We have tentatively confirmed a number of guest speakers from various Relief and Development Organizations with the aim to have an open dialogue in order to contextualize the situation in Haiti, including the immediate and future needs, and how YOU can become more involved. I urge you to please come out and show your solidarity and support, and to pass this on to everyone in your social networks. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate. We need your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to make a difference.
